Braeside
is a three bedroomed traditional Dales cottage, which has recently been fully
refurbished to a high standard, retaining its old pine doors, with oil fired
central heating and double glazing throughout.
It
benefits from open views from the front garden over the village green, and
most rooms face the west, and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.
On
the ground floor is a comfortable lounge, overlooking
the large village green, with two sofas, window seat, electrically operated
woodburning stove as a focal point, TV, video, DVD, books, and a telephone with
an honesty box.
The cosy dining room also overlooks the green, beside a further traditional stove, and hi-fi.
The kitchen has a ceramic floor with a stable door overlooking a courtyard. It has modern beech cupboards, ceramic hob, an electric cooker with two ovens with an extractor fan, fridge and dish washer. Doors lead in to a small utility room with microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and central heating boiler.
The private rear yard, with high walls and garden furniture, is a quiet place to sit and enjoy a BBQ.
The entrance porch provides space for boots and outdoor clothing, and there is further storage in the corner cupboard in the dining room.
Upstairs
at one end there is a main house bathroom with hand shower in the bath,
toilet and washbasin, and at the other end of the corridor a shower room, with toilet and
wash basin.
Facing the large village green there is a double room with bunk beds, and a double room, both furnished in pine. There is a twin room facing the East and the fells.
£480 per week. Short breaks available from 2 nights throughout the year.
