Cottage is a cosy one bedroomed traditional dales cottage, tastefully
restored and furnished with antiques, situated above the main village amenities,
facing South, nestling in a tranquil location with spectacular views to the
South and the Buttertubs Pass to the West. An ideal place to unwind and recharge
one's batteries.

The
house consists downstairs of a living area with stone flagged floor,
small inglenook fireplace and beehole oven, sofa, television, dining
table, storage heater and kitchen area equipped with an electric
cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, automatic washing machine
(outside rotary drying line) and ample storage. A tumble dryer is available
in an outside store, which can also accommodate cycles.
The stone stair case leads to a fully tiled bathroom with bath and electric shower.
Pine doors leads to the bedroom, with delightful views, heated by a storage heater with a double bed and antique bedroom suite. The rooms are decorated with many traditional local items such as clippy rugs and local pictures.
Outside
is a garden with uninterrupted views of the fells overlooking the village
with garden furniture for relaxing on after a tiring day.
£200 - £350 per week, according to season.
Muker is a small dales village, popular as a walking base and has a village shop and post-office, craft shop, hand knitted woollen shop, cafe and pub for bar meals. The village has a well known silver band and in early September has a sheep show with fell races.
Nearby villages with places to eat are at Thwaite, Gunnerside and Reeth and Tan Hill at over 1700ft - the highest pub in England.
The area has a wealth of riverside and high fell walks and is not far from the Pennine Way. The nearest market town is Hawes only 7 miles over the Buttertub Pass to the South and Leyburn and Richmond to the East.
