Formerly
this house was the northern half of the Congregational Chapel, in Bainbridge,
which was converted to a high-standard house and has every modern facility,
and is superbly situated overlooking the village Green with its stocks, and
eastwards towards the Roman camp.
The building dates back to 1864 and still features the chapel bell and village non-chiming clock, as well as attractive arched windows and exterior stonework.
This
beautiful Dales village is situated on the River Bain, and close to the Roman
Road, deep in the Yorkshire Dales National Park enjoying spectacular
views to the surrounding hills and is an ideal base to relax and walk. The
village has a shop with post office, a butcher and hotel with bar and restaurant
food.
The accommodation comprises an entrance on the ground floor with hall, cupboard for storage for outdoor wear, shower room with toilet.
First
floor has a kitchen, with a view over the garden and Village Green,
equipped with integral electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher,
automatic washer/dryer, radio/cassette player, dining table and chairs.
The lounge has French windows opening into the garden with views over the green. The room has a three piece suite, colour TV and video, CD, radio and cassette player, dining table and chairs and coal-effect electric stove.
The second floor has a double bedroom (pictured below left) and a twin room overlooking the green, and a single room (pictured below right), all with good storage and all with clock/radio. There is a bathroom with shower and a footspa/massager for those tired feet.
£330 - £490 per week, according to season.
